    Frequently asked questions

Changing your water supplier involves updating information in the Office of Water Services (Ofwat) databases. These databases store details about your water supply and usage. Whenever there’s a change to your account, these databases get updated. All water suppliers are linked to this database to simplify switching.

After you switch, your new supplier will send you the final bill, and they’ll handle settling accounts with your previous supplier. Importantly, your business’s water supply won’t be affected during this transition; it will remain uninterrupted.

It’s how you ensure you’re getting the most out of your water services. Based on our market expertise and industry insights, we’ve found that businesses can save up to 30% on water bills. This could come from switching to a new water supplier or negotiating a better deal with your current one. In some cases, we’ve seen businesses enjoy even higher savings.

To find the best solution for your specific situation, exploring and comparing your options with Wodr is essential.

All fees are included within the overall Water contract. We negotiate a fixed fee (percentage or value) on your behalf directly with the supplier, which includes fees for our services. This is fully communicated to you throughout the switching process for full transparency.

For more complex solutions, we may charge fees for additional work such as site visits or smart metering installation. At Wodr, our aim is to always be fully transparent, to keep your mind at ease during the switching process.

We’re passionate about encouraging switching within the water market. Since the market de-regulation, the level of switching has been limited, even amongst large-scale water users.

We’re also dedicated to sustainability, part of our mission is to help businesses become more efficient with their water usage. What’s more, we get to build great long-term partnerships with our clients.

We work with all of the UK’s leading Retail Suppliers and have access to a large proportion of the market.

Our suppliers are sourced from a diverse network, including major manufacturers to those with a niche and bespoke offering. This allows Wodr to find the perfect solution for your business needs.
